Your Content Stays On Your Device
Aura Affirmations has no accounts, no login, and no servers of Our own. Everything You create in the app is stored locally on Your Device and is never uploaded to Us. This includes:
- Your saved and favorited affirmations
- Your daily, monthly, and yearly goals, and their completion status
- Your journal reflections, moods, and any photos You attach to them
- Any photos You choose as affirmation backgrounds
- Your text, font, and color preferences
We cannot read this information, and it is not backed up to Us. Deleting the app removes this data from Your Device.
Photos and Camera
With Your prior permission, the Application can access Your Device's photo library and camera so You can set a photo as an affirmation background or attach a photo to a journal reflection. These photos are used only inside the app on Your Device. They are not uploaded to Us, not analyzed, and not shared with any third party.
No face data or biometric data is collected, stored, or shared. You may decline or later revoke these permissions in Your Device's Settings; the rest of the app continues to work normally.
Sharing
When You choose to share an affirmation, the app creates an image on Your Device and hands it to Your Device's own share sheet. You decide where it goes. We do not receive a copy.
Advertising and Usage Data
The Application displays advertising provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may automatically collect Usage Data such as IP address, device type and operating system version, general location derived from IP address, advertising identifiers, and ad interaction data.
This data is collected by Google as a Service Provider, not by Us, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertising is never linked to the contents of Your affirmations, goals, journal entries, or photos.
App Tracking Transparency
On iOS, the Application asks for Your permission before Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is used for tracking. If You decline, You will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on Your Device.
Consent for Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If You are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, We use Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for Your consent before personalized advertising is used. You can review or change Your choice at any time from the settings panel inside the app, under Ad Privacy Settings.
Use of Your Personal Data
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To display advertising that supports the free version of the Service.
- To diagnose problems and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Retention, Transfer, and Deletion of Data
Because Your content is stored only on Your Device, You control its retention. You can delete individual journal entries, goals, and saved affirmations inside the app, or remove everything at once by deleting the app. Usage Data collected by Google for advertising is retained according to Google's own policies.
Disclosure and Security
We may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities. We care about the security of Your data, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13, and We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If You believe a child has provided Us with personal data, please contact Us and We will delete it.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where You live, You may have the right to access, correct, or delete Your personal data, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because We do not collect or store Your content, You can exercise these rights directly on Your Device using the controls described above, or by contacting Us at the address below.
Links to Other Websites
Our Service may contain links to other websites not operated by Us. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
